Default I killed my car. Help.

2006 base automatic 3LT. My shift locked in park a couple of times yesterday, so I thought I would remove the locking pawl per online videos. I managed to pull the console loose and unplugged all the accessories. During this process I had to shift to neutral to get the console over the shifter.
I received a message during this whole process to "shift into Park". I ignored it and kept working. Both doors were open so I figured it would go to sleep and turn the lights out. It did. But at some point, the doors wouldn't open if I shut them, had to use the emergency release. Got all the accessories plugged back it and installed the console. Opened the driver's door and noticed the start button turned green like normal. Pressed the start button and nothing. It went out. Noticed the acc mode is flashing red. Put my trickle charger on the battery it turned green for a second then went out. Won't trickle the battery. Could I have killed the battery and now should jump it? Battery is only one year old. Appreciate any help.

Do you have a multimeter? Check the voltage of the battery. What amp is your trickle charger charging? It sounds like the battery just wasn't charged enough.
