Default Need Part Recommendations

Hi I just purchased a 2012 Grand Sport Centennial Edition that's completely stock with about 40,000 miles. I have plans for long tube headers, a cam and a cold air intake. Any recommendations on brands and the types of headers and cam? I saw a lot of people going with the 1 7/8 long tube headers. Also what's the main difference between stage 1,2,3 cams?

For headers you can’t go wrong with ARH 1 7/8” or kooks 1 7/8”. I recently bought a set of ARH from randy at ragin racin, extremely good price too. Had them shipped to my door 10 days from payment being sent (not 10 business days either). When it comes to cams, you can almost ignore “stages”. Tell us more about your goals and setup on the car and that will help us recommend a cam for you. In my opinion most stage 1 cams are not worth the money because they’re so mild the horsepower gains aren’t the best bang for the buck if that makes sense.

If it were me and the budget allowed I would go Kooks or ARH for the headers, in that order…
As for the cam it depends on what you’re wanting out of the car. Daily driver? A6 or M6? Are you looking for peak hp or are you wanting to maintain the best drivability possible? Lot of different factors there.

Go with Kooks headers; they will fit much better than ARH.

As for a cam, ignore the Stage whatever bs. Define your type of driving for the car and then contact a reputable cam maker such as CamMotion for a recommendation.

For an intake, your car already has a great intake and there are little gains to be had from any aftermarket intake. Better to install a shroud to isolate the intake from the engine bay heat.
