Had an Issue Today, Help Diagnosing?
Just a split second before I shifted the car, it burped and nosed over like it had broken up. I continued accelerating in 4th for a second before I reacted to it and it had already resumed accelerating normally.
About 2 seconds later, I got "SERVICE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM" on the D.I.C. It disappeared after about 5 seconds and didn't come back. I didn't happen to catch the reading on the fuel pressure gauge during the break up.
I tried to recreate it on some slower sections of road in 1st and 2nd (wasn't another safe stretch to wind out 3rd again) but it drove normally. It doesn't seem to be a purely RPM-based issue as it spun right back up again multiple times.
There's no CEL, no codes stored or pending, no obvious damage to the plug wires and no corrosion or anything visible in the battery terminals/cables.
For reference, the car has a basic ECS centri kit, ECS stage 1 fuel system, a GM Z06 fuel pump and longtubes at just under 600 RWHP. Plugs and wires haven't been changed since the blower went on (admittedly several years ago). The whole car has 30K on it with about 20K on the blower kit and maybe 10K on the fuel system.
Any idea where I should start on this one?
