Lately, I can feel and hear all the bumps on the street. Ride feels really hard and uncomfortable. I am neither super handy when it comes to cars nor have the space or tools to do anything. Where can I get this checked out without breaking the bank or waiting for months?
what is the set up on your car? how long since the shocks were replaced? are they stock? they may be worn out. tires sometimes have an effect on that as well.
Kind of lost here, since the vet will never ride as smooth as a Caddy, nor has the expensive suspension of that of a DB to smooth it's handing suspension, so car should ride like that of a go kart pretty much, and you the Princess and the Pea kind of thing feeling every tarmac surface imperfections. Also sound dampening on the car was reduced to reduce weight, so should be hearing such as well.
Now that aside, if the ride has gotten worse over time, it could be the tires on the car.
If still on Goodyear tires, these run flats rode like crap due to stiffer sidewalls, and with the tires older than 5 years, the rubber on the tires have hardened too.

What have the temperatures been like where you live?
Shocks and tires can ride significantly worse in the cold versus summer temps. Summer tires will be as hard as hockey pucks at colder temps and the oil in shocks will flow significantly less.
