2005 electeonics shut down delay
A couple of times recently I've found the electronics take a very long time to power off when I shift to reverse and press the ignition off button. Last night it was 15 minutes. I really don't take notice because when I drive somewhere and lock it, its longer than 15 minutes.
I know it's in reverse because I don't get a message and the rear camera comes on. The courtesy lights also stay on during this time.
I doubt this is normal.......but who knows.

I have experienced this too, actually have to go back in the garage to confirm they went off! No real reason that I have found plus it's not consistent. Check the lights on the mirror, turn key back on and go thru shut down again has worked sometimes but best to just monitor each time.
