I personally would not add either to my car, but your car is not mine.
However, I can see how the hood vent could bring down underhood air temp, but I can't see how the fender vents would do anything useful at all.

Also something to consider ... Your engine's computer is located in the right side front fender ... that fender vent will allow rain water to enter and that water will have a very good chance of shorting out the car's computer (very bad idea).

My opinion ... forget the fender vents
Fender vents help tremendously. It depends on your uses, if you care more about looks than performance which most do, don't add them. I don't like the way they look at all like most, but on my Viper ACR I added the fender vents and the amount of front downforce it added was ridiculous, in conjunction with the front splitter and canards my front end was glued in the corners, they all look ugly but for that car I cared more about performance than looks. Now on my C6, I don't track it so it'll get none of that stuff.
Good discussion about hood vents only in that thread, but makes no mention of fender vents you're asking about OP so here's information about fender vents and how it helps prevent lift and help against drag as well:
Hahahaha!
I track my car,..
I should’ve given you a heads up, I want to vent heat and improve downforce.
The look is somewhat important,…Hence my question.
The field of aerodynamics is just fascinating. I’ve looked at adding a splitter and spoiler combination but it seems at this point the most prudent and effective thing to do, for my goals, would be to punch a hole in the hood 😎And when it comes to the cooling issue, fluid/thermo dynamics is equally interesting to me.
(My fluid mechanics and thermodynamics profs are rolling over in their graves! I took a full year of thermodynamics on my way to a BSME and thought it was going to kill me at Virginia Tech).
Great stuff!
Regarding fender vents, @PanderAlexander does the note (is there a full article?) you posted assume that the fender well liner sections are removed?Or would you open them up in someway? That is really thought-provoking - I had assumed they were just for evacuating more air from underneath the hood area from the greater vacuum/air flow above the fender.
Thanks for the input!
thank you for all the replies.

Post this or search in the autox and road racing forum section. I added similar vents to a different gen so don't have specific install help. I think I saw David Farmer cuts the fender liner on this C6 for the side vents. Yes they are more for pressure in the wheel well. Is your car a base model or auto?

You can usually find OEM front fenders for pretty darn cheap near big cities. Grab some of those and cut them to put the fender vents. Also, don't discount vraptorspeedworks for vents; they've been around a long time.

On my Viper ACR the shop had them open, and every car at the track I’ve see had them open, don’t think they’d be much functional otherwise. One of the local C6 guys I talk to easily opened his up so air pressure from the wheel well can vent, he was going to help me do my C6 but I decided not to go the vent route after all on my C6. Here is his:
If you do speak to him you might also ask if its best to seal off the bottom radiator intake even without a splitter. And remove all three pieces of the chin spoiler or not. On mine I've been planning both.
