Default Wheel bearing selection

What brand of bearing to people find the best? I was looking at MOOG or Timken, maybe Mevotech. The prices can very quite a bit.

If you're referring to the rear axle hub, I used the Moog about 6 months ago. I think they were $74/each. It's probably a good hub assy. I've had no problem. Delco is about the same price. Delco is made in China; Moog is made in Taiwan.

I've always used the SKF hubs on C6s when they needed to be replaced. Haven't had any issues with one yet.

This is a ME TOO! I've used the cheaper hubs in the past but you get what you pay for. China, Taiwan I don't think it matters any more. Most everything is made in China the Good parts and the cheap parts. I recently replaced all of my wheel hubs with SKF, got tired of changing out the cheap junk. Good Luck.

I found a MOOG on sale. I'm going to try it first on the bearing I know is bad. If I have to do any more, I will probably try the SKF.

Timken originally were made in USA....They are still made by USA company...Moog will be a rebranded from someone else and SKF is Japanese but could be made anywhere...Frankly in todays world any of them could be rebranded or even worse... knock-off's...(which you really don't want and make sure they are genuine before you put them on no matter which brand)

I had to replace one in my 2012 due to speed sensor failure (bearing was good but sensors non serviceable) and I used Timken...but I am biased after working for them for more than 45 years and I know first hand how well they are engineered...

Yea I did basically the same thing you are going to do but with another cheaper brand. 2 years later I replaced them all with SKF. My cheapo was a rear passenger i believe and not so easy to replace. My suggestion is to do it right the first time because you will do it again.

If 3 people tell you that you are a horse, it's time to look in the mirror.
