Since my car is down for an a
engine build, I was considering my next suspension upgrade. We frequent the mountain curves a lot, push the cars pretty hard, so I'm always looking for better & more. Suspension is a set of Bilstein HD's, z51 bars & the rest stock. Where should I upgrade next??

Also looking for a better brake pad . I have Hawk Ceramic & not too impressed by their overall stopping power. I have them paired with powr stop slotted rotors & SS lines.

Polyurethane bushings and a performance alignment would probably be next.

Alignment specs:

Also what tires are you running as they are the most important link in getting any car to handle.

Better brake pads look at the Carbotech AX6.

CARBOTECH™ AX6™

The AX6™ is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50°F to 1000°F + (10°C to 537°C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Many drivers use the AX6™ for street driving as well, even though Carbotech™ doesn’t recommend street driving with AX6™ due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. AX6™ is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications.

Many people like the ceramic pads so they don’t have to clean brake dust, but as you’ve found, they don’t stop nearly as good as factory pads. I like Hawk HPS pads.
