I’ve done some work on the front left wheel of my 2008 coupe. What parts do you have to do an alignment on if you replace them?
brakes, no you do that all the time.
I had to replace the wheel bearing. I don’t think that messes with the alignment.
I am now replacing the lower control arm ball joint because the boot was torn. I got it out without taking the control arm off the car, but I’m not sure if I can get it back in or not. If I get it back in, do I need to get it aligned? If I have to take the control arm off, will it need an alignment?
If I have to replace the tie rod end, I know it will need an alignment.
I’m not sure where the adjustments are for the alignment.
I was looking at the mounting bolts for the lower control arms and they have some oblong washers that I don’t understand. It may just be a way to wedge the washer in place and make it hold. I’m not really sure.
Based on another of your threads you are getting new tires. Get the alignment when you get them, and for best tire wear get a Pfadt Performance Street alignment.
