Default BTR stage 2 dyno results…

I just installed the Vararam, full Kooks long tubes and x pipe and a BTR stage 2… dyno came back at 415. Seems low to me. The builder says he still getting his hub dyno dialed in… y’all think this seems low too?

That does seem oddly low, possible correction calibration going on with the dyno? I would think you should be around 460 wheel. I have an almost identical setup but haven't had it dynoed yet for reference.

I know that a Mustang dyno will read 10% less than a Dynojet. So 500 on a dyno jet would be 450 on a Mustang.

got a dyno sheet?

I'd expect something like 440ish rwhp through an A6. That's dyno jet numbers. Is the dyno corrected to standard atmospheric conditions? Uncorrected dyno along with hot assed weather will kill dyno numbers

The owner said he was still getting used to it etc etc… weathers been
hot af down here… I’m sure all contributed to low #’s.

maybe I’ll look for another dyno run in the winter… idk

This is why I like inertial Dynojet’s…..just a big dumb wheel with minor corrections. I can’t manipulate or “get used to” my dyno

Bottom line, how does the “butt dyno” feel? That’s really the bottom line. If you NEED a number, find a dynojet and make a couple pulls.

The butt dyno felt something new when I finally laid into it yesterday… I can definitely feel the increased power… my thoughts are that I just spent over 6k for all of this and I wanted to ensure I’m getting all of the power out of this setup as possible

Throw it on a dyno jet and see what it puts out. Your car on a dynojet should be at least in the 460-480hp range. For reference my 2011 LS3 manual car made 432 with just headers and tune, still on the stock air intake even.

My car made 459/422 with ARH Catted headers, 2800 Circle D Single Disc Converter, stock intake and BTR Stage 2 N/A on my grand sport. Just an FYI the cam requires a 7.425 pushrod length after getting off the phone with BTR.

Def would be a low number on a Dynojet considering it’s an LS3 but I’m not familiar with that particular dyno. If it were me I’d do what someone above mentioned and find a shop with a Dynojet and make a couple pulls to compare. If it still comes back lower than expected then go from there. I’m about to have the same cam put in my LS3 C6 and I would def be disappointed if it only make 415… don’t wanna get too caught up in the numbers tho.

Thats the first I’ve heard of that cam requiring a 7.425 pushrod… why’s that?!

Did you get a pre-mod baseline? Always a good idea, hard to measure results otherwise.
