Default Intalling Corsa Exhaust Tips

I have a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport with the stock NNP exhaust. I want to purchase the Corsa 4.5" black exhaust tips sku: TK007BLK (https://www.corsaperformance.com/pro...t=628168163344). The Corsa details say "4.5 IN TIP W/2.5 IN DIAMETER PIPE" does anyone know if that will fit the stock NNP exhaust if I were to cut of the OEM tips?

The "Y" pipe coming off the single pipe out of the muffler is 2.5. If the corsa pipe is that size then yes.

the problem your going to run into is interference with the actuator. Theres a company on instagram called VetteTips that sells pretty much exactly what your looking for that are designed to weld onto the stock NPP pipes. It could be done with the Corsas too more than likely but either way its going to require some fabrication. That seems like an absorbent amount of money for a single tip when you'll need 4 total. The VetteTips kit is like $450 for all four. I think at that point I'd be looking for some non name brand ones on ebay. Thats $900 for some name brand tips, probably closer to $1000 with shipping and tax. You can almost buy a used axle back with tips already on it for that.

I got a hold of Corsa technical support, they said it "should" fit as their technical specs show that the pipe inlet has been expanded to about 2.54" and should slide over a 2.5" pipe. Fingers crossed. I wish there were cheaper options as these bad boys are over $169 each (4x).

Wow, this is amazing, I was just coming here looking for this exact advice. 2010 GS with NPP and stock tips, I want to go black Corsa as well.

@3rwolff can you update on your progress? I sure would like to know how it turns out! Take pics and describe your steps, I would be in your debt.

Great input StayinStock, I will check them out, I have decided to hold off on the tips until I get my headers installed and make sure it all sounds good. I want to keep the stock exhaust to use the NNP valves and a mild 2 wild switch. They were coming to about $700 which is ridiculous.

I run stock NPPs with long tubes, you wont be disappointed, trust me, great setup. I have my m2w on a switch under the dash rather than messing with the fob but its def nice on a road trip. Yeah as far as the tips go theres way better options for way less money. I plan to do the VetteTips setup eventually myself just haven't gotten around to it yet. Figure thatll be a winter project. The last I looked they offered 3 different finishes, polished, black, and heat warped titanium (which actually looks kinda cool, not sure id do it myself but i dig it) They may have added more since.

Thanks for the advise StayingStock (FYI I have a 2010 C6 Grand Sport LT3), I have Kooks long tube headers (with the ceramic jet-hot coating) and high flow cats coming. I plan to put the m2w foot switch on the dead petal and run the NNP stock exhaust. Glad to hear it sounds good. The performance shop I am using (DBP High Performance out of Spring Hill TN) is going to install, upgrade the spark plugs and do a custom ECU tune. That combined with my Holley cold air intake, Kooks and the shop both expect me to see 30-50 HP gains. This is all about 8 weeks out. If you get the tips, send pics, I might have to copy your design.

No prob man, best of luck on it! I'll be a bit before I go that route, I'm still trying to debate on rather to do that or got with a full axleback that still has dual mode.

Just my opinion...Who really needs NNP? How about saving up your money for a non-droning Corsa or Borla cat back or axle back system? Then you'll be gaining new tips too.

my neighbors appreciate it in the morning lol, though I will say I dont use it that often anymore, debated going to a Corsa as well just to give it some more tone. I'd love to find a deal on a hooker blackheart but they seem to be impossible to find anymore... akrapovics out of the question price wise and the B&B fusions are kinda meh...

Hey RetroGuy, The NNP mufflers are free (as I already have them) and I like that they hook right up into the fuse box via the vacuum tubes. I do think Corsa would sound better however I really want the valves so I don't get a ticket and wake up the neighbors. I haven't looked for valved aftermarket exhaust yet since I am already over budget but it would not be hard to add one later. I may wind up having to stick with the crappy stock tips for now.

so Ebay has a plethora of non brand name tips (as well as knock off akropovics) that wont break your budget. Some of them are actually pretty nice.
