The car (05 coupe) has a noise that happens when the clutch is engaging. like a grinding noise. Feel it in the shifter. Doesn't happen all the time. I was going to bite the bullet and pull the whole back end and replace the clutch and hydraulic slave. Maybe inspect the TT bearings and coupler, etc. Then I read on the Forum about the finnicky clutch and did a fluid replacement. Doesn't appear to have helped.
Reading about the C6 and the clutch replacement is definitely the clutch job from hell and I don't want to get into it until it is necessary. The car has 62K mi on it and I've had it since 15K.
It seems to work fine on normal driving or a launch. Maybe just drive it till it breaks but I've heard other nightmares about transmission damage and such. What do you think?

It appears, hard to tell, that it only makes the noise when I'm slipping the clutch. Seems like lots of noise issues with these cars.

Grinding noise. First though maybe something is wrong. It really does not matter if u drive it. All thats going to happen if its the clutch is grind it down with the fly wheel which ur going to change when u decide to replace it. But if its the trans, more u drive the cost goes up. The gears are not cheap. Labor will be the same since they are in there. JMO. Or all the oil leaked out. GL
