Tech II Candi module not always working

Hello,

I have a genuine Tech2 plus the CANDI module and a regular basis the Tech2 complains that the CANDI module is not attached on a regular basis. I have to disconnect several times the CANDI module in order for it to start working again (getting the clicks).

The Tech2 works fine in appearance.

I'm now torn between buying an alternative programming device (which one in that case?) or buying a cheap candi module from china.

What would your suggestions be? Bearing in mind I do everything in the vette, I'm the only "mechanic" to touch it, the only thing I don't do is wheel alignment. So I need to be able to do stuff like reprogram the BPS or second hand parts if I have to replace some.

You can get a “real” Candi module on EBay for $180.00 (173.00 Euros) or the “Chinese” junk for $50.00- $60.00.

open it up. Mine sometimes has the one of the two cable harmonica connectors on the board coming loose.

Hello,

Thanks for the replies. The issue I have with buying on eBay is that I don't know the quality of the product (it could be busted or a cheap fake).

I wasn't aware of the wiring issue, I will open it and have a look at it.
