Boosted C6 Shifting Issue
I have a 2011 Procharged C6 coupe that has a built RPM stage VII trans/rear end in it. Last night some Tesla Plaid was antagonizing me a bit and I ended up taking the bait. I noticed when I went for the 2nd to 3rd shift the shifter felt a little loose/gummy like and it didn't have that same "notch" feeling of it going into gear properly.
The car has an MGW shifter in it, it does not grind in any gear and was not grinding last night at all before/or after this (and has the clutch to handle more than I'm currently making). It drives completely normal under any other circumstances but under full load or 5K+ RPM it does not feel like it's going all the way into 3rd gear. 1 to 2 is fine, 2 to 3 feels weird, 3 to 4 feels normal, and 4 to 5 has the same feel of not going completely into the gear and feeling that notch like it does under normal driving conditions. To reiterate this only happens under full load and the 2 to 3 shift just doesn't feel like it goes completely into the gear slot. It has me a little worried, I drove it home just fine afterwards with all temps at optimal levels and fluids are topped and clean. Are there any reasons this could be happening on hard acceleration only? I am not mechanically inclined much so I have come to seek some comments and advice on what it could be. If you need any more information please let me know.
Thank you,
