Hi Gang, I'm back!!! Picking up a 2012 GS, so excited. It's a 6-speed manual. Going to add Corsa Sport with X-pipe and their cool carbon fiber intake. I could get it tuned but would prefer not. With these two mods only,
is there any real performance gains to be seen or felt?? Any other easy bolt-ons that work well with this combo on the LS3 (throttle body, plugs/wires, etc)...
Or should I plan on having a good tune done by a professional to make this package work?
I have a Corsa exhaust on my 2005, if there are any gains they're negligible, but the sound is something else, more robust and aggressive than the stock exhaust, very pleasing to the ears showcasing the V8 sound without being annoying or too loud unlike the fart-cans you hear on every other "sports" car out there, everyone tells me how nice it sounds.
Corsa Sports drop some weight, so theoretically that helps some. Technically, there may be some torque benefits, but HP gain seem negligible (see link). Sounds spectacular, though. On the intake, get the Vararam if you want performance gains. Plenty of threads including posts from the manufacturer with the math and explanation. Corsa does offer some static gains, see http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2014/...ll/#more-21628, but I doubt it offers anything close to what the Vararam does under throttle and moving. Corsa looks cooler though if you like to ogle the car with the hood open.
I have corsa sports. best thing i ever did for my C6, they say 10-15hp over stock. intake will help but not much. just get a good high flow filter like the green ones or KN.
