2005 Automatic spline count
Is there a difference in spline count between the 2005 automatic transmission and the 2006+ manual transmission? Asking because I am thinking of doing the conversion to the 2006+ differential. I have been searching and researching this topic and am surprised at how little information is out there. Or my Google foo is weak on this subject.

I think that all automatic have 30 spline. the base model and Z51 manual transmission have 27 spline differential and the Z06 zr1 GS have 30 spline differential .

That's true for the 2006 and later - the 2005 cars used the same diff as a C5, different from the 2006 and later C6's.
