Hello, new to the group.
Running a 2007 Indy car

I have the harmonic balancer wobble, and wondering how long to let it ride before having to change it?

Welcome to the forum.

My 09 wobbled for about 50k miles before I changed it and then only because of cam install.

Depends on how bad the wobble is, everyone has an opinion on this so I’m sure others will chime in.

My buddy's 2007 Base wobbled a bit for a long time. Replaced the HB when the belt started to chirp/squeak after start-up. This is a sign that the problem is progressing and replacement should be considered.

Mine had a very slight wobble on my '07 and I replaced it almost immediately.
I know lots of owners say that theirs wobbled for months and even years before they replaced theirs but keep in mind that is now 16 year old rubber that's holding the outer ring in place.

Hi and welcome!
Just completed my HB replacement and only went for a quick test ride. I was at 63,000 Km. Wobble and chirps gone! can't wait for the warmer to ride.

I have a 2010 base C6, I can see the HB wobbling (97,xxx mi) and beginning to hear the chirp. When replacing it with an ATI is pinning necessary or optional. Thanks

I did not pined mine. I filled the groove with RTV on a Powerbond HB.

If you plan to supercharge the car, then pin the HB when you have it replaced. If no SC is in your future, then no pinning is needed. Just be sure that the crank bolt is torqued properly & to spec. Otherwise, you could have the HB start to spin on the crank and trouble follows.
