AFAIK, they both make the same power. The main difference between the silver blade style and the gold blade style is that rotation of the butterfly is opposite, so you have to use the correct one for the year of your car for the TPS electronics to function correctly. Note, you can go in with HP tuner to change the setting in the ECM to use either one.
But if you are not going to do this, then make sure you have the correct color vane, so its opening up in the correct that the ECM is looking for in the first place.
As for stock verses port and polished, the stock unit will be have a better relationship between the vain opening rate verse flow rate.
As stated, both will make the same power, and the ported one just ends up being more of an on/off switch, with flat spots in the opening rate verse flow rates isntead. Hence may be great for strip use, but not road course use.
