I am about to embark on this repair, Anyone got the link to the step by step that's on here some where? anyone in AL or GA want to work with me on mine and then we do yours or any other thing, like a cam, I've done two and heads
I changed my torque tube last year. I was not bad. I changed the drive axles and all my shocks at the same time. Dropping the entire back suspension sounded bad, but wasn't too bad. I did mine in my garage with the car on blocks about 2 ft off the concrete. Backed it all out sitting on a floor jack. Get help lowering and moving. The jack carries the weight on the xmsn pan but someone needs to guide the engine side so as to not tear **** up. BTW, when I bought my new shaft they sent 2. I have a new torque tube 8905-9715 for sale. For the same reason I have extra drive axles, both for the base and the Z51 (which I have).
