Default 5mm Spacers

Hey, I think I've read every spacer related post on this site as it relates to C6's, but I just want to confirm from someone who has done it. Will putting 5mm spacers on the front and rear of a 2010 Grand Sport require longer studs or anything else besides just bolting on the new spacers? I am close to pulling the trigger on the below product. Thanks!

On my 2011 GS, my right rear wheel sticks out slightly farther than the left rear wheel.

2 years ago, I fixed this by installing a 5mm spacer on the left rear in order to get them more even.

I did not used longer wheel studs and have never had a problem ... However, I would not use thicker spacers than 5mm without using longer studs.

Your Amazon link looks like the same 5mm spacers that I purchased.

Extended thread lug nuts would be some extra insurance.Running 6mm on my C5.

Interesting, so does my 2011 GS. I thought it was an alignment issue, maybe the left had more negative camber so it looked a little more tucked in, but nope... Right side still sticks out slightly further after getting it aligned. Ever find a reason why?

It's no alignment issue.

The locator pins in the rear cradle that fit into the holes in the rear subframe may not align perfectly so as both wheels may not be the exact position to the rear fenders after the whole thing gets tightened down (this is certainly no 'hand-built' car). And the locator pins that fit into the holes are non-adjustable, so all you do is fit the cradle pins into the subframe holes and tighten up the rear cradle mount bolts ... Ya get what ya get.

As they say ... It's close enough for government work . . . .

Here you can see those 2 big locator pins in the photo of the rear cradle assembly:

I use 8mm spacers (with the OE wheels) on my C6 Z06 and fully compensate for the reduced thread engagement with these extended lug nuts https://lugnutguys.com/collections/lug-nuts-et

In fact, when swapping over to my wider Forgeline track wheels, I still use these same extended lug nuts for added thread engagement over stock...

3mm is about as far as you can go without longer studs. I have no experience with those modified lug nuts, I’d love to see some destructive testing.

I have stackable hub-centric 3mm spacers with me at all times , shop and track

I've ran a 5mm on my rear with stock studs for 2 years now, no issues. I beat the snot out of my car if that helps.
