Just replaced the EBCM on my 06 and am thinking about leaving the bottom screw, the screw closest to the alternator out. If anyone has ever done this then you know that particular screw is a major PIA to take out and then back in. I know leaving it out is boarder line Bubba, so if it was you what would you do?

The EBCM housing is very rigid and it isn't subjected to big loads. I suspect three screws instead of four would be okay. Though I think you should try for all four.
That said, if you can't shove the ABS assembly far enough right to get the screw started, you're probably better off leaving the screw out than removing the hard lines from the BPMV. One of the inverted flares may not want to re-seal, leaving you in a worse predicament.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was thinking the same thing.
