PAC RP5-GM11 alternative?
The kenwood rear speaker outputs are wired to the PAC RP5-GM11 which is then wired to the factory Bose rear speaker inputs with the factory Bose rear 5.25” speakers. I assume this is for factory vehicle chimes?
This configuration provides good midrange and highs up front and highs in back. I plan to add a separate subwoofer later but in the mean time I want to remove this RP5-GM11 and transplant it to my 2003 Yukon which has premium Bose with steering wheel controls.
Since my 2005 corvette does not have steering wheel controls, onstar is defunct at this stage due to 3g cellular being null and void. Is there an inexpensive alternative to the PAC RP5-GM11 that I can wire in its place? I’ve seen forums talking about a crux adapter or some other company adapters but I’m not 100% familiar with gm class 2 data.
My radio harness uses 2 big gray plugs that go into the RP5. Some of the other pac units have only 1 gray plug. What can take its place vs just buying another one? I know everyone defaults to it because it has everything but all I need are vehicle chimes at this point with my bose amp wired to the rear Bose speakers.
thanks

This may offer more than you need, but short of doing it yourself, seems like a cheaper option

I wonder if any of the other PAC units will do what I’m looking for but at a big savings. If I absolutely have to, I’ll buy another RP5 but I’m hoping there is something different.
