Hi. I have a 2013 grand sport and it said service charging system months ago.
we changed the battery and checked connections thinking everything was fine then it started not wanting to turn on. It would come and go in spurts of issues of turning on. We replaced the battery again, alternator, and starter. All connections are tight. I’ve done the research but I can’t exactly find any routes other than an ecm. I don’t know about the grounds very well on this engine info isn’t easy to find without asking. I’ve already spent enough money on this so any help is appreciated.
Where did you purchase your new alternator ??…is it aftermarket or OEM ??…I’d check for the correct part number at your local GM dealership and go from there…..it can be a bad connection at the alternator…throwing a scope on each of those alternator connector wires would help in a diagnosis…I deleted your other duplicate post and moved this one from General to Tech.

got it aftermarket. Switched it twice aftermarket don’t think it’s that. It’s the right one I know that.
How do you know it’s the right one? There have been a number of service charging system posts where the problem turned to out to be the aftermarket alternator. Just because it plugs into the harness doesn’t mean it’s compatible.

I did extensive research on it before I purchased it. I looked up the code along with reviews along with some forum answers for the starter and alternator. The automatic has a different alternator than the manual. I got the automatic one because it’s an automatic. I did a multimeter tester on it too to make sure it was right when it ran. Battery and alternator replaced before starter. Starter was after it stopped running now it has power from the battery (still good) but it won’t take the electricity. The lights flicker when trying to turn on and there’s a loud clicking. The clicking isn’t from the starter it has 12v when trying to turn it on.
