The P0453 is a “circuit” code (FTP Sensor High Voltage) as opposed to a “performance” code so it can be a bad sensor or the wiring…sensor has 3 wires…a 5 volt reference, a signal, and a low reference (ECM ground)….if your code reader shows a fuel tank pressure sensor data PID you should see around 1.5 volts which is common on most GM platforms…as far as wiring it can be a broken reference ground wire, or a bad sensor…sensor accessed at the right rear tire wheelhouse panel.
