Default C0035

Good afternoon, I have a 08 base with the c0035 code for the front right wheels. It’s setting off the service active handling system, service abs and service traction systems. I checked the plugs and I’ve measured ohms at the wheel sensor, and at the harness on the frame. I have compared it to the drivers side and they are showing the same except the ohms on the driver is 1.100 and passenger is 1.075 but that should be fine. I also measured ac volts while spinning the hub and they are both the same. I can clear the code and the moment the engine starts it comes back.

The wire looks like it enters a loom and then heads to the abs. Does It connect anywhere else? I can’t find a pin out of the abs connector but that’s my next check to make sure it’s still receiving a signal.

a pin out would be great.

Is there another issue that could be causing this and I should be looking at?

I’ve read plenty of post on this but 90% of the fixes are plug related I’m positive mine is not. The other fixes seem to be replacing the hub which I’m fine with but I don’t think that’s the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the latter part of this thread, Dano has a picture of the cable assembly.

If you have a scan tool that can graph your wheel speed sensor outputs that would help...if not you'll have to disconnect the WSS connector and since it is a 2 wire sensor and it is the left front you should see 5 volts on the light blue wire ignition in run and the yellow is a ground at the EBCM...best to do a "wiggle test" while observing the 5 volt reference wire as much as you can up to the EBCM and see if the 5 volt drops out...you can disconnect the EBCM connector and check resistance with an ohm meter while wiggling the ground wire...make sure the pin fitment at the connector and at the EBCM are not loose and that they are not spread apart.

Thank you for that. I have 5v at the sensor. And the ebcm plug is firm. I did remove it and clean it. Non of the pins seem out of place. I wiggled everything I could touch I didn’t drop any voltage. The wire loom is in really good shape. I’ll start cleaning grounds 🤷🏼‍♂️. Kinda lost on this one.

What gets me is I’ll make these adjustments. Clear the code and the computer instantly sets the code off the moment the engine starts. I can clear the code with it running and instantly comeback. As if there is a voltage or ground issue somewhere. The computer can see the open ground or sensor or something lol and sets it off. Doesn’t have anytime to compute anything. Just knows it’s bad

Don’t worry about cleaning “grounds” !!…the only ground to worry about is the WSS ground…other grounds aren’t involved…if the 5 volt reference didn’t drop concentrate on the ground….many times the sensor from the hub out to the connector wigs out…good luck !!..if the code sets just by turning the ignition on it may be an EBCM issue !!

Thank you for the advice!! Before I left I did clear the code and only turned on the ignition and the code did comeback. I’ll clean that one ground and see what happens. May even buy a wheel hub just to try and take back not install. I’m tearing the motor down early next year so if all else fails I’ll replace that pos when there’s more room to work.

Just cleaning the ground doesn’t work !!…you have to check for an open between the hub connector and the EBCM.
