I have 2005 Base . I am curious if anyone has used this in 2005
. I do remember a while back one in the C6 parts F/S and seller said that he didn’t realize not compatible for 05 but I don’t know if he just read and didn’t try ???
Any information would be appreciated. Very inexpensive mod for a little extra, and the plug and play is nice.
This is the 3rd time for a first generation 1st year 68, C4 but a 91 with ton of 1 year only almost everything , now 05 . The 05 so far has a lot of 05 only 😩
No one makes a working throttle controller for an 05 to date.
I figured as much . I thought it would buy me a little time from spending on the ring & pinion swap that I have wanted to do since the first day I bought the car . I love the looks of the car just doesn’t make me want to break loose the back wheels at every light 😂 and talk yourself out of it because tires cost $$$ or ??? I’m not saying that it’s a little boring but it definitely needs to be woken up !
Correct no throttle controllers due to the 2005 one-off YM ECM on those cars. I believe it is an E40 and 2006-2013 used the E38. You might read several of the newer throttle controller advertisements where they state compatibility for 2005-2013, but there have been no posts confirming that they actually work for the 2005 YM. If this was the case it would be widely publicized on the forum.
Your not missing much, I promise you lol... do some bolt ons and a real tune, youll be much happier
but a forum member had a brand new one for F/S $75 basically less than a tank of gas .
Plan is to do CAI ( because I like the look of the particular CAI I bought also like the throaty sound at WOT ) maybe a pony or 2 😂
and a street tune . definitely doing the ring and pinion most definitely 4:10’s there’s a really good rear end shop locally, has been in business over 50+ years , will kill 2 birds 1 stone . Wake up the car ! Kill the drone with the Billy boat fusion ( which I love)
I usually address the motor after catastrophic failure 😂 which are not as often as they used to be = I am getting old 😩. Perfect timing for everything on the wish list !
appreciate all the information ! This forum has saved me so much $$$ because of the YEARS
of knowledge added up from all different members with the exact same interests . Enjoy your holidays Thank You 🍀
