Looking to add a procharger, keep stock engine until it lets go, I really dont wanna do heads and cam etc right yet at least. Any suggestions, stuff to look for or look out for is appreciated.
Headers, Exhaust, Intake tube and a tune would be necessary I would think. Catless exhaust is desireable, how do you get around the sensors though? Live in a rural area, no tuning around here.
Your on the right track, I personally just based off my own experience would bite the bullet and do a fuel system now but if your just starting small you can get away with a boost a pump. I would figure out who your going to have tune the car and talk to them about what fueling needs you need to meet for whatever blower you go with. I see your in Charleston, bit of a hike from us but plenty of reputable tuners within a few hours of you. I would recommend Cutaway Creations in Summit Point WV. They just finished up a build for @Matticus91 and he's having great luck with it so far.
Just to add a little to StayinStock's post....I'd go ahead and do a flex fuel fuel system while you're there. It doesn't cost a huge amount more and you mentioned that the initial build is just a stepping stone. If it's tuned right and your engine is healthy, there's no reason to think the stock long block is going to go **** up anytime soon. It's good at 700-750 rwhp for a long time. Go much above that and you get into engine and drivetrain issues. I think that's about the sweet spot for a reliable street setup that you don't have to pour money into on a regular basis.

OP, you obviously will need some sort of tune, whether a tuner is near or far. It has to have a different tune. At that point, you simply tell the tuner you want the non essential O2 sensors tuned out. I don't remember if its the front or rear cats that need to be tuned out. Tuner will know what to do.......
I'm about to start a new build and see that many of these members might be able to help.. anyway, I want to use a 6 l ZO6 drivetrain to build a platform for a JKU 4-door Jeep. I would appreciate any positive comments. End result would be a650/1000 hp reliable daily driver on full IFS & 42" TIRES.
