We all know the c6’s key fobs aren’t exactly the best and I’m sure anyone who’s had one knows about the “no key fob detected” and learning about the console slot but anyway to keep it short I replaced the battery in my dead fob and it’s still dead, I tried flipping it, went out and got every brand of 2032’s they had and it’s like the fob isn’t calibrated to my car anymore. Has anyone had this occur?

If the fob will work and start the car when you place it into the glove box slot, then the fob battery and/or contacts may be at fault. Be sure to check the battery voltage with a DVOM at 3+ volts (3.3v is fully charged). Then be sure that the contacts within the fob case are clean (alcohol & lint free cloth) and bend the contacts slightly to ensure they make contact. Reassemble and see if that helps.
Also, RF interference can cause the fob to fail to communicate with the RCDLR. Be sure you do not have a phone charger or anything else connected within the car accessory slots. Also, I have had my fob not work properly when I had my phone and fob in the same pocket.
Also be sure your primary auto battery is in great shape. Do you know how old it is? Most have a functional life expectancy of 4-5 years and the C6 needs a healthy battery otherwise you could expect to have electrical problems as it fails. A quick disconnect/reconnect of the battery will reset the modules and sometimes cure some problems with the car. Be sure to re-index the windows are reconnecting the main battery.

Going through this now with Key Fob #1 on my 2012, “no key fob detected”, changed out the battery and still get “no key fob detected”, did the short reprogram but nothing happens. Fob acts as if it's dead. Ordered a new "China" fob off eBay and am waiting for that to arrive to continue this.
Ah yea, I’m in the same boat. Mines a 2012 too. Apparently they have bad fob issues after a few years. I also changed mine, tried duracell and a few others but no luck. I was going to take it up to vette everything and see if they could help me out bc depending on one fob is really risky haha let me know if your replacement works!
Thank you very much for the reply and the useful info. I’ll be trying out some of those methods, unfortunately it is not working even with smart phones, phones chargers, other fobs being far away. It’s almost like it’s fried. I read when this happens you should go through the reprogramming steps but I’m also nervous to try bc if that doesn’t work I think the one that is working would no longer be calibrated to the car. Thank you very much for the reply and information again!
Attached are some of the technical documents that reference problems with the fob not found problem and how they may be resolved. Read through them to see if it helps with your situation.

Don't blame the fob itself, since it's the least likely cause of problems.
Not everyone has fob issues and the ones that do, mostly fail to initially recognize why they're having problems. Some put the batteries in upside down, some don't clean the connection points, some inadvertently bend the connectors, and some don't test the batteries to verify a minimum voltage is present.
If placing the fob in the glovebox slot in the correct orientation doesn't solve the problem for a fob that suddenly stopped working, then the problem isn't the fob itself. First test the car battery voltage and/or do a reset.
Assuming the car is in the garage or your normal parking spot when you last stopped the engine, shut off the power to your main breaker and try to start the car, since electrical interference can override the fob signal. If that happens, you'll need to turn on the main switch and test each circuit to find which one is causing the interference. Something as simple as a failing neon light transformer can cause the problem or even the circuitry on the car parked close by.
