Default C6 Oil Starvation question

Hi I am new to this group and a novice hpde tracker. I have read a lot of the oil starvation issues on the LS3 motor during track events. I unfortunately learned a hard lesson on my 2008 z51. I know tracking is not an inexpensive sport, but having an engine blow up or worrying about that every time out is not something I wish to deal with. My question is this: Did the C6 grand sport with the dry sump fix this issue or not? I have read some of the earlier z06 even with dry sump we’re still having issues (smaller tank). Also, if I go the grand sport route, would it be wise to do an oil cooler right away?
Thanks.

Yes, the dry sump motor solves the problelm, since oil is stored in tank to supply the motor by one pump, and the oil falling to the dry sump pan (less than a qt), its pumped back to the oil tank via is own pump.

In a wet sump motor, oil is stored in the pan, and during long enough high G turns, oil can be pushed away from the pick up to tube to starve the pump, to cause the no oil being pushed through the system.

Same can happen to dry sump pan pick up tube, but since there is two pumps, one driving the oil out of the tank and the other just pulling the sump pan oil to send it back to the tank, the 10qt tank keeps pumping oil through the motor.
NOte, dry sump pan only holds about 2 quarts of oil, since is not the reserve for the oil in the first place.

As for wet sump motor, there is the accusump system, that as the oil pressure starts to drop from oil being G loaded away from the oil pump pick up tube and pump no longer pushing oil through the motor, the accusump tank has a air pressure bladger, that will push the oil from there, to keep the oil flowing through the motor isntead. As soon as the oil returns to the pick up tube, then pump goes back to pushing oil through the system as well as filling back up the oil in the accusump tank as well.

As for what size accusump tank needed, just depends on the HPDE track, the tire grip in play, hence how many G's and how long that oil is going to be pushed away from the pick up tube due to that corner, and over come the baffle system in the pan that is trying to prevent such in the first place.

Thanks.
All the manual transmission, coupe Grand Sports came with the revised, larger tank dry sump systems that the later Z06's had. The oil starvation was solved.

And as far as I know, the dry sump GS's also came with a large oil cooler. My car came with it.
