I live in Northern NJ and I have a question about where people get their wheel alignments done. I did business with a company called EuroTire in Fairfield NJ for over 35 years. I've has SUVs, a 2000 TransAm, a 1974 AMX with the 401 Go pack. EuroTire did them all. Potholes being what they are here in Jersey I had Z06 shocks put in replacing Bilstein sports and a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sports ZP installed. EuroTire was the only place that ever did my wheel alignments. They were able to dial it in so the car felt like it was riding on rails, and I do a lot of high speed highway driving: I don't like imprecision and wandering in the steering. I just found out that they went out of business and I'm at a loss to find a new alignment place. Any suggestions in Jersey? Thanks!

Wow, it's like you read my mind! I live in Northern Jersey and am looking for the same. I went to a highly recommended Chevy Dealer, paid the "Corvette Tax" and they left my left rear tow arm loose. I usually do all the work on my car but Alignments are one of the few things I pay for. Needless to say, I was not impressed by the dealer. Don't ask who it was, I'm not looking to slander anyone, just sharing my story. In for everyone's suggestions.
No Corvette owners in NNJ ever need a wheel alignment? 🤔

Well, I guess from the lack of responses that must be the case! Come on guys! A wheel alignment is not like installing an exhaust or intake but it's necessary maintenance. Just asking for a recommendation...
Don't you have a Corvette specialty shop in your area? Here in SoCal we have several shops that specialize in trading Corvettes as well as maintenance/repairs. I use Corvette Mike in Anaheim.
No specific recommendations, just some general alignment advice.
Try to find an alignment specialist, and be prepared to pay more than at a tire store.
In return, you should have a car that goes straight down the road, with all the settings held to a fairly tight tolerance. Or if not, they should be able to explain exactly why, and what you need to do to correct that.
If you do wind up at the tire store... all is not lost.
Doing alignments isn't difficult, but the closer you try to hold the tolerances, the longer they take to do.
Most techs are paid by the 'each', and spending any time beyond just getting things into the green costs them money.
Try to talk to the tech doing the work ahead of time, and explain what you need. Assure them you'll make it worth their while. An extra 20 or 2 can win friends!
Supplying them with the specs you'd like is helpful in a couple of ways: It establishes that you're intelligent on the topic, and it shows whether they are willing to work with you or not.
If they're huffy about using 'your specs', they're probably not what you want.
Good luck!
My former alignment shop was a specialty tire/suspension shop that dealt with high end European cars like Porsches, BMWs and Mercedes. They would hand torque the wheel nuts manually with a torque wrench! That's why they were the only shop that did wheel alignments on all my vehicles for over 35 years. Needless to say it's hard to find that type of craftsmanship nowadays regardless of price. I would always tip the wheel alignment guy $20 when he was done. Since he closed I've just been having a hard time finding some place that does quality work. A lot of so called Corvette specialty shops are just hacks.
