Can I run stock fuel pump with upgraded injectors on my ls2 corvette if I run a flex fuel sensor? Only mods that I'll have are a TSP 228R cam(mild cam) lt headers, Cai, ported intake manifold, and ported heads. It's a daily driver so the gas won't be sitting in the tank for extended periods of time. I know I'd need to upgrade my 33 lbs injectors at minimum I'm mainly wondering if I can get away with running the stock pump.

That's a good question. I don't have the flow rate written down so popcorn here. I did add a flex fuel sensor to the LS2 I have right now but it's mostly stock. What injectors are stock on the LS2?

The stock LS2 has 33lbs/hour injectors. You run full E or do you run a mix on your vette like E30 or something? I heard stock injectors are only good for E30 before they get close to maxed out.

My 2005 I installed the DSX kit and run E85 though when I test it % can be lower like E65. I haven't gotten a lean code and am finishing up a wide band install. There is a way to add duty cycle to hp tuners dashboard but I don't remember how. Anyone? Also stock fuel pump flow rate? Dano might have that one.

The stock fuel pump rate I'm not sure about but the duty cycle on your injectors isn't maxed out on yours? And fuel pump has given no issues up to this point? Injectors at minimum I plan on upgrading to 42lbs injectors(ls7 injectors) and then running E85. I just don't feel like doing that pump lol.

As far as I know mine is stock and no problems with E85 use. For your increased HP use the injector calculators and add 30% for E85 use.

my question would be why? Very very minimal gains by running corn on an n/a setup in these cars with no variable timing and you'll destroy your fuel economy in the process (whatever you gain in cheaper fuel you'll burn up in lower mpg's). Unless your boosted I wouldnt even worry about it, hell most tuners wont even do an n/a flex tune for this reason. That all being said, the stock pump is just barely enough but it should be ok.

interesting that these cars don’t pick up any HP from E85 n/a. I would think they could get a little bump from at least a little more ignition timing? I plan on doing this to my 09 after I get it on the road well before I boost it. I would think the cooling properties would at least help when abusing the car (at least that has been my experience with my other e85 converted cars).

Yes this! It's easy to see as you tune it. I've seen knock in the stock timing table that is eliminated with E85. Also here in WI premium is twice the cost of E85 and is only 91 octane now. Yes it does use 30% more so you will fill up more often.
