LSD / No tru-trac
Thanks,

If clutch packs are still good, and using the correct fluid, will not have problems with peg leg burn outs, and will hold the tires locked together for the amount that the diff can take in torque. Hence where you start to see peg leg burn outs, is when diff fluid is change to slicker fluids, and in which lowers the break away values of the clutch packs.

If game plan is to build a 8 second 1/4 mile car, all is mute, since drive line will need to be stripped out,and diff replaced with solid diff (ford 9") that can take the increased G launch out of the hole. Hence the money your going to spend on putting down a sub 10 second 1/4 mile in a C6, will have spent hale to build a 8 second car like a Vega instead.

No you dont need a 9 inch or a solid diff... guys going 8s all day long on factory style built differentials from RPM or other builders. Mark Carlyle has (*or had for a long time) the stock IRS record for years on a factory style case (built obviously). OP what are your power goals/projected ET? I'd say run your stock **** till it breaks then go to an RPM unit. Talk to Jeremy, theyll get you hooked up.
