I have a 2007 c6 that has a check engine light because of the fuel pump sensor or something with the fuel pump isn’t working. My gas gauge doesn’t read my gas at all and I was wondering what side gas tank would be the problem.
The only DTC for the fuel pump that I know of is a P0230 which is the fuel pump relay and not the pump itself…if you don’t have a scan tool take your car to an auto parts store and they will tell you…there are 2 fuel senders with one in each tank…service information below.
first thing is to get a scan tool or go to an auto parts store and get your trouble codes read.
The most common code is probably P2068-Fuel level sensor Circuit B level high. Circuit B is the right side tank. The level sensor in that passenger tank is more prone to fail because it has dry sensor contacts whenever your fuel level is 1/2 or less (right tank empties first). These dry contacts can form deposits which can lead to an erratic fuel gauge reading.
