Default Kooks header gaskets or factory GM?

Kooks headers come with a MLS gasket. Anyone using them with success or should I stick with the factory gaskets? I’ve always just reused the factory. Thanks

Yeah, I've always avoided the crappy non metal gaskets that ARH provides. Haven't used Kooks in a long time so was surprised to see MLS gaskets.

They're working for me. I kept the OEM gaskets just in case but no leaks. They seem high quality. I think they're made by Cometic.

I prefer the OEM gaskets myself. Never had issues with them

I've used both Kooks and GM when during separate head and cam swaps. Both worked fine.

I used the gaskets included with my Kooks headers. 5 and a half years ago and over 50K miles ago. No issues. Why anyone would reuse old gaskets when you have new ones in hand is beyond me. Also, beyond me is buying new gaskets instead of using the ones that came with your Kooks headers. Kooks is a first class outfit. I can't imagine them including sub-standard gaskets with their headers.

I thought the Kooks gaskets that came with mine seemed pretty cheap so I just bought new GM mls gaskets

As long as they are MLS, they are GTG
Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if Cometic made the oem gaskets

after seeing these kind of posts, there must be a toilet paper forum somewhere, so people can figure out what kind of TP too use.

No **** ( pun intended) ….. go into slickdeals into the forum section. You will laugh as people very literally have debates on toilet paper and toothpaste
