As the title states … I purchased the leather eBay steering wheels for my 2007 base model , everything transfers over easily, but when it came to mount the steering wheel to shaft where the 21mm nut bolts down to. The steering wheel won’t fully go inside , I tested the OE steering wheel and it goes into place so easy. Should I try and force the steering wheel into place or maybe I got a bad batch. I did try to google if other people had this issue before but I can’t come across of anyone getting a bad batch and it doesn’t bolt down. Thanks for any insight before I contact the seller . This is the Oe steering wheel , fits perfectly This is the new steering wheel and it has trouble going into the second part of the shaft
Mine was very snug.I just used the nut to slowly pull it down.I used a ratchet so I could tell how much torque I was putting on it.Didn't take much to get it seated.
After attempting to putting in with a ratchet , this is as far as it would go, not sure if it’s fully bolted down, I don’t recall how many teeth it had visible before I removed the OEM steering wheel. This is a photo , can someone clarify if this looks like it’s bolted down all the way , I’m worried it should be tighten down more
, it looks like 3 lines are viable , I’m curious if this is tighten enough or do your guys steering wheel nut show more than 3 lines.
Sorry for the dumb questions , I’m just worried someone removed their airbag cover to find out 6 or more lines should be visible, if that’s the case , then I know it’s not bolted down correctly and the steering wheel teeth are the issue.
