Trying to get the fluid level in my A6 correct after adding an auxiliary trans cooler but I'm running into an issue checking the fluid level.
I don't seem to have a drain/check plug on my pan like my 08 did. I serviced that car by following steps that I found on the forum and had no issues but without the plug on the pan I'm not sure the best way forward.
Initial thoughts are to make a dipstick for the fill plug that gets as close to the "correct" depth as possible and just make it work.
I've got a Yank SS2800 converter in the car if that matters for fill level purposes.

Thanks in advance
I disagree with step #3 , but the rest is essentially correct.
Step 5 is where those instructions get tricky because my car does not have that plug. I've done this procedure before but my last c6 had the plug on the bottom.

It'll probably be messy as hell but you're probably looking at having to loosen all the pan bolts and wait for it to overflow out the sides.
Either that or install some kind of aftermarket plug which would be equally as annoying since you'd have to drill a hole in the pan after likely having to remove it completely.
