I replaced the throttle body, maf and the p codes are clear but I’m still having an issue still with the reduced power and the car is still turning off. If I wait a few moments it will start again and engine light will be on. Is this an ecm issue I’ve changed everything but gas pedal what else could it be?
I am aware of that about parts numbers, but initially I was reduced power I was getting P codes that were telling me that there was an issue with the throttle body or MAF. I purchased both the throttle body and MAF, when attached to the code reader those P codes were not showing. I relearn the throttle body as I was told and at the time I was told about relearning the throttle body that I may need to do that on more than one times. With the old throttle body when I received the message "reduced power," the car would shut down and I'd have to wait for a while and the car would start but the engine light was on. Since I now have the replacement throttle body on the car will not shut down but it would continue to run hesitantly but it won't shut off.
They don't have that little smiley face "things" here otherwise I would have push it while I was laughing. But I don't think everyone got what you meant (codes & part numbers).
Update on earlier reply to my post... Switching the 2 relays helped for a day - maybe because it was on a cold start?? Anyway, I broke down and purchased a GM throttle body for $359 off of Ebay. Put it on and car started right up w/no codes...Nothing! Been going for days now without any issues. The only thing is I'm still driving around with a small code reader just in case the codes pop back up. Wife says I need to let go LOL!! Thanks again for everyones input.
