Default Worn out plugs

I started the previous thread below
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-41-985-a.html
about odd ball spark plugs in my 56K mile, '09. It turns out that they were the oem plugs for a ls3, trucks, etc. that had the part number updated numerous times.
I changed them today and found that 5 of 8 were missing the extended tip, making a .075"-.080" gap. The center electrodes are flush with the porcelain tip.
1 plug was 1/2 worn down, and 2 were the correct length and gap and looked pretty good.
All 4 of the plugs on the drivers side were worn down.
Most puzzling is that the car ran fine and there was no check engine light.
So, why?
Fuel trims? Oxygen sensors? MAF sensor, etc.
It passed Ca smog check when I brought it into Ca. from Az about 8mos and 3k miles ago.
I'm the 3rd owner, and as far as I know, everything is stock, no tune, etc.
I ordered from RockAuto on Mon 9/2, a holiday, got a confirmation on Tues, and Fedex delivered today, Wed. at about noon. I pretty happy with both of these guys.
