Looking for light weight wheels for drag strip...
I've got email in to Bogart and talked to Weld. I like the Alumastar 18x6 front (12lbs) but apparently the S71 17x11 rear is pretty heavy (phone tech said looks like 26 lbs from shipping info...and he said they DON'T have wheel weights available which inthought was weird).
I have CCW LM20's on the car in stock size as well as a pair of 17x11 with Hoosier 315's. Hoosier DR tires are 26lb 2.5 oz each, and wheel/tire mounted is 50lbs (CCW 17X11). FRONT 275-35-18 tire/18x9.5 CCW (mounted) is 53 lbs each. Rear 19x12 with 325-30-19 tire mounted weigh 67 lbs each.
Has to be a setup that sheds serious weight for the strip. 234lbs now for wheels/tires at the strip.
Anyone running lighter setup they like?
