Default Trans issue

i got a 2010 base automatic and i removed the whole rear to replace the torque tube and i got everything back up and tightened but while i was taking out the tube HALF of the torque converter fluid came out i wanna say maybe 2q of fluid came out of it.....it will fill back up?? is that even how the c6's work?? i v done pleny of research but in almost every thread nobody says anything about the torque converter. do i need to add 2q to the trans?? wat should i do?? thanks.

You won't be able to completely fill the converter. It fills itself while it's running.
just note how much fluid spilled out, and add that much plus a little more while it's running.
You need a hand pump to overfill it then drain to the right level.
It's a PIA, but it's what has to be done.

Fill it to just dribbling out and then start it, then put more in until it comes out replace lower plug.
Let it get up to temp, then just remove lower plug, if it dribbles out fast let some out, if just a little, put in plug and it should work fine.
