I’ve been curious about how much my Base 3LT weighs, so I topped off the fuel and took her to the scales. I’ve seen other guys posting their results, with the last one I saw coming in at 3,080lbs…I was surprised when mine came in at 3,240, and that was with me out of the car. I googled how much a 2006 base model 3LT weighs, and the answer I got was 3,179 lbs, but I don’t know if that’s empty or full of fuel, or if that’s even right. At least now I know for sure what it weighs.
I'd be curious to see how much my 2011 GS weighs. Probably about 3450 with a full tank as I have a DeWitts radiator, E-force, and a C6 interior sound insulation kit.
Looks like there is a CAT scale not far from me. I didn't know that you could weight your car at one. Thought it was only for 18-wheelers.

Yeah, it's going to be quite a bit heavier than mine. Wide body, bigger brakes, heavier tires and rims. Mine's about as stripped down a C6 as you could buy. I don't know if the clear top is lighter, but it was on when I weighed it. Actually, I've haven't ever used the painted top since I bought the clear one 6 years ago.

I took a chance and asked the gal at the counter if they could do it and she said that there’s a minimum weight that the scale will read, but she didn’t know what that weight was. She said give it a try, worst case scenario is it won’t register. Given my car is no longer wearing its Goodyear run flats, I would’ve thought it would weigh less than it does.

Indeed. I just checked and the GS is supposed to be 3,311 lbs. Not sure if that is with a tank of gas or not. Eforce kit adds 164lbs according to the robot overlords of Google. Add in the weight of 2 gallons of supercharger coolant and the expansion tank, the DeWitts radiator and its extra coolant. Kooks headers should reduce the weigh a little, maybe -20lbs versus the stock manifolds and midpipe. And then I also did the double extreme sound insulation kit which is probably about another 50lbs.

Weight with me in it, I'm 270. I may have to rethink my strategy of not taking any weight out of the car.
2013 base, twin turbo LS3 car, shortened rad, and a bunch of other things. Somehow still traps mid 140s in the 1/4 and does a preeeetty quick 60-130......
