Default Magnetic ride control

I have an 08 ZHZ that had the mag ride shocks removed and simulators added before i got the car. Is there a way to test the control sensors to tell if they're still functional before I go to the trouble of putting my new mag shocks on.
Has any one had any experience with the after market mag shocks sold on ebay. Cheap price. $326 for all 4 but that's probably about what the OEM ones should cost. Love my C6. 173k miles and still goin strong!!

Do you have a factory level or equivalent scan tool ??…if not the best you can do is test each sensor with a DVOM…these sensors are basically a 3 wire potentiometer…a 5 volt reference, low reference (ground), and a signal…with that type of scan tool you could jumper the 5 volt reference to the signal and you would see 5 volts on the scan tool signifying the signal wire is good…so basically you can test 2 out of the 3 wires..if you go from the 5 volt reference to the low reference you should see 5 volts…if no good you would have to check the 5 volt reference to a good ground and you can use a 12 volt test light connected to battery positive and when probing the low reference the test light should illuminate.

If you are not getting any service suspension messages, then I think you can assume that the simulators are working. If you are putting new mag ride shocks on, then you will have to remove the simulators. I have no experience with FleaBay aftermarket mag ride shocks. I have had experience with other aftermarket parts and I am firmly in the OEM camp if you intend to keep the vehicle. Or unless you like doing things twice.... I also went back to stock mag ride shocks on an '05 C6. Fortunately, the owner had saved MOST of the old parts. I did replace two of the shocks, but went with OEM and was glad I did. Good luck and the car looks great, especially with those miles on it!
EDIT: As part of that conversion back to mag ride from coil-over, you will have to reinstall the transverse leaf spring(s). Pretty sure there was a front and back spring, but that is a long time ago now......

Don't have coilovers so springs still intact. Thanks.
