Ok, so I have a strange electrical issue at the moment.
After about 5-15 minutes of driving my fog lights stop working. Just no light, but the switch will still read off/ on etc. It’s consistent every single ignition cycle. I have checked the wiring behind the bumper and cleaned the fog light connections… no idea where to go now ?
You'll have to take apart the fuse box in the engine. Some of the wires in the underside of it are broken in the bends. When the engine gets up to temperature, the wires bend out of contact where there is a break. I used bellwire from homedepot and replaced a bunch of broken strands.
Do you have a 12 volt test light and know how to read the wiring diagram below ??…you could try swapping the relay with any 4 pin relay and see what happens…each light had its own separate ground so its unlikely a bad ground…it may also be a poor connection at the relay or an issue with the relay control circuit.

I would give it a go. Did you have this issue? And are these wires roughed up causing a ground to occur ?

A bad "ground" in your case would not be the cause as there are 2 separate grounds in the circuit...a ground is needed for the lights to work...as mentioned this may be an issue at the fuse box ...does your fog light indicator remain illuminated when they go out ???...the BCM is looking for an "input" from the fog light switch to energize the relay to make the fog lights illuminate…a power issue at the fusebox can be diagnosed at the relay without first removing the fusebox.
Yes, I can turn the fog switch on, off, on, off and the dash will illuminate accordingly. Lights just do not come on once it’s decided it’s done working for that drive.
I've had this issue with fog lights and turning signals. I solved them by replacing the copper wires. It's not grounding, it's just there are breaks in the wires. When the engine gets up to temp the heat will make the wires bend/warp out of contact where it is broken. If I find the the thread I'll link it here but I'm certain this is the fix as your fogs consistently go out after driving a short while.
OK, great !!…when the fog lights go out if you have a paper clip bend it into a U and jumper the 2 terminals of Relay 38 below…if there is in issue in the fuse box the fog lights will not illuminate…pictured as if you are bending over the fender.
