Any thing else I should change while under there it any advice that might not be obvious?

When I originally changed mine to a powerbond, I swapped the timing chain to a c5r chain. But at the same time I was also swapping lifters/cam etc after a lifter took out the cam.
Are you referring to the timing cover seal or and actual front crankshaft engine main seal? Thanks
The front main seal is the round seal between the timing cover and crankshaft. No need to remove the cover to change this.
You may find that dropping the cradle doesn't give you quite enough room. I also had to jack my engine up about an inch to clear the steering rack. There are 2 motor mount nuts on the bottom to loosen/remove then it can be jacked up. Be careful you don't jack it up too high as there is little clearance between the engine and firewall.

should I jack it up on the oil pan? What kinda of jack will get that high if I’m laying under the vette using quickjacks ? Thanks
is there easy access to change those mounts out at this time? Thanks again
If still on the original mounts, it's a good idea to change them.
If you are still on the stock exhaust manifolds, there should be plenty of room. You might need to temporarily drop the starter on the passenger side for more room but with stock manifolds, I don't think it's necessary.
I find it makes things a lot easier to remove the engine mount brackets. They have three bolts holding the brackets to the engine. Before you jack the engine up, you want to remove both the bottom and top mount nuts. Then support the engine. Then remove the bracket bolts. Removing the brackets allows for the long mount studs to clear the holes.
