So i recently got this ''blinking'' check engine light, where the light will not be On when the car is idling but as soon as i start to move it will start to flash according to the speed of the car if i get to about 50mph the light flashes so much that it looks like its just a regular cel and then it will just disappear after a few minutes of driving. As anyone experienced that before and could this just be a voltage or ground wire issue ? Car drives fine.
A flashing MIL indicates a cat damaging misfire but with that P0650 and the flashing MIL sounds like a short to ground possibly on the wire that goes from the ECM (terminal 68 on X1 Connector) through the fuse box (F1 on X2 and C3 on X3) to the IPC (terminal 14 on X2) as you can see in the wiring diagram…worst case scenario it’s a bad ECM…the ECM supplies the ground and as part of the “bulb check” you will see the MIL illuminate…the “MIL Driver” in the “Conditions For Setting The DTC” is the transistor in the ECM that toggles that ground on and off just like a switch…if this diagnosing is over your head seek out an auto electric shop…don’t know if the P0608 is a current or history code.
