Default Question on F55 switch

I read this statement on the forum on an old post and want to know if it’s correct.

Will be in both the BCM and F55 module data.

The selector switch goes to the BCM, and the BCM sends the digital signal to the F55 module to pull itself out of the tour mode.
Again, switch not working or connected, default in the BCM is touring mode.
So if there’s no switch connected the default mode is touring mode? Just want to know if that’s an accurate statement.....

I think that quote is from a thread I started when I was troubleshooting what I thought was a problem with my mag ride. I believe that quote is from @Dano523 who knows a lot about these cars. Just look at his posts.

Are you having a problem with yours?

No problem but I am working on a project where I would like to remove the F55 switch. Was curious what would happen doing so and if it would result in throwing codes? You are correct that the quote was from @Dano523 who appears to be highly knowledgable on the mag ride. My vette is an 06 and understand there were a lot of improvements in the F55 option in later vette models. I can simply unhook the switch and observe if anything happens? Thanks for the response.

Yes, if you disconnect the F55 switch (tour/sport), pull up BCM/F55 module data with tech2win, will see that real time dampening/F55 will stay in tour mode as default setting.
