Default Pirelli tires question

I was recently at Corvettes at Carlise in Pennsylvania.
I saw stickers and other memorabilia from Pirelli tires.
Im not a C6 owner at this time but I have been looking for a long time.
I was wondering why Vette owners dont purchase Pirelli tires for their vehicle.
Any thoughts on this matter because growing up I was led to believe they were a very high-performance tire company.

They are not really that great of a tire. Maybe a few decades ago they were half decent, but nothing to brag about these days

I'm a bit partial to Toyo on the corvette. But R888Rs aren't for everyone.

I can't complain about the Pirellis on the M440 and will most likely replace with the same.

I liked the PZeros and tracked them on my Z06. They wore great, no chunking pretty good grip. Corvettes come with Goodyears so that is one reason why you may not see many.
