Crazy window indexing
2008 base coupe.
With the window up when I shut the door the window goes up and down just the amount of the index. It will do this repeatedly for about a minute and finally close as it should.
Any Ideas where to start to troubleshoot. The passenger window works as it should.

First the indexing went crazy then the window would only go up about 3/4 of the way, then it wouldn't go up at all and now, after disconnecting the battery it will go up only to the point of the index ( small gap ) But you can hear the index cycling.

Turned out to be the outside door opening pad. I switched sides and the problem followed. Got a new opening pad and the problem went away.
I had replaced the pad last year with an aftermarket unit. Obviously junk. Bought an OEM unit this time.
