Does this have anything to do with your "crazy window indexing" ???...it may not be the module !!...are you doing any type of testing or are you just throwing parts at this ??...you DON'T buy parts like this through Amazon or EBay !!...what is the outside door opening module ??...you mean the DDM...Driver Door Module ?

Yes the " crazy window indexing" Yes, it was the outside door opening module (DDM). I switched them and the problem followed. This is my daughter's car. She is wired to look for the lowest price and assume quality. We bought an OEM unit and the problem went away. Hopefully lesson learned.
