Default C6 engine bay. Is is smaller??

In the pictures that I have seen, the C6 engine bay looks more cramped. I know that a couple inches have come off the length and 1 inch has come off the width. Has this resulted in a smaller engine bay for the C6? Will this mean a huge challenge for aftermarket and for people that want to mod their C6 with power adders and such? What do you guys think that have seen the C6 close up. Jim Hill, can you comment as a person that has seen the C6 and one that would have to engineer aftermarket systems such as your twin turbo.

I spent some time this past weekend looking at it and I would agree that it is smaller. However, I think the basic work room is about the same and that mods should not be any more difficult. It looks good to me!~!

Is this only a visual difference?? The info GM has release doesn't specifiy any changes to the front frame and structure other than removal of several inches past the front crossover(reduce front overhang). I believe the cross-supports for the firewall area(dash, steering support) have gotten stronger or changed materials.

The C6 fenders curve in towards the front of the car, so you have practically no flat, inner fender. (the part I can never get to look good) The room around the engine is essentially the same.
